In cooperation with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1821" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Damen Yachting (Company)">Damen Yachting</a>, yacht electrical and automation specialist <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/317" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alewijnse (Company)">Alewijnse</a> has opened a new warehouse at their Vlissingen yard in the Netherlands.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/296252/image/large-c88ca9989748aac8cafb84813de9f03c.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/296252">Double the size of its predecessor, the new and upgraded facility will allow <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/317" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alewijnse (Company)">Alewijnse</a> to improve its efficiency in providing the electrical integration services it delivers to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1821" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Damen Yachting (Company)">Damen Yachting</a>.&nbsp;Chief Operating Officer at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/317" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alewijnse (Company)">Alewijnse</a> Tom Milder commented, “our previous location became too small for our growing operations. The new warehouse is a straightforward response to the need for more space, resulting in increased professionalism, enhanced safety and better logistical accessibility.” <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/296253/image/large-14f25d5d88a67daf0c79eb3d437a544f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/296253">The new and improved warehouse is designed to provide electrical services for up to five superyacht projects at the same time, with approximately 70 <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/317" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alewijnse (Company)">Alewijnse</a> technicians available on-site. The layout of the new warehouse has also been altered to enhance the organisation of the electrical and installation equipment.The new site showcases a designated space with approximately 25 workstations dedicated to commissioners, engineers, and supervisors. These sites are not confined to the Netherlands but extend internationally.“The warehouses are structured to provide rapid and flexible service to our customers. We maintain close communication and utilise each other's inventory when necessary. This approach enables us to offer the best service to all our clients in the yacht, marine, and dredging and offshore sectors,” explained Freek Bosman, Team Lead of Facility and Logistics at the Netherlands facility.
