It takes preparation with the yacht owners but also with the builders and class when undergoing annual refits and services. But we must remember how dangerous being onboard a yacht at sea can be if we don’t follow the correct procedures. As <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/112" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line (Company)">Custom Line</a> constructs series yachts, every model features a pre-designed interior concept, which can be tailored to the owner’s wishes. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/288340/image/large-543744c9ef841873c1fb19a966058ce0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/288340">Clients are able to visit the shipyard, often viewing in-build yachts to gain an understanding of the finish and aesthetic, and then work alongside the Atelier team to put their own touches on their project. This is particularly important when it comes to interior materials, finishes and even layout, as the Atelier retains an archive and inventory of viable and tested materials for the owners to choose from, streamlining the selection process, without the need to involve the original designer.“The Atelier is involved from the very beginning, working alongside the owner’s team to define the bespoke choices, from stateroom and en suite layout to material composition. We are focused on the future use of the vessel and work hard to understand how the owner will use his vessel, as this informs the material selection process and ensures that the vessel is tailored to its purpose.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/288338/image/large-e75dd69d79a3b479543808fa9f503e05.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/288338">Involvement from this early phase allows the Atelier to finalise the interior, and to ensure that all the materials and finishes are available the moment the yacht hits the outfitting phase. This process, however, can take place with, or without a final client, and if owners become involved during the outfitting phase, the Atelier is able to refine the possible choices and guide the owner to ensure that the expected delivery date is met. They do this by creating a portfolio of materials and finishing choices for each stage of construction, so no matter when an owner acquires the vessel, the Atelier is able to provide levels of customisation.The Atelier’s intimate knowledge of the C<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/112" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line (Company)">ustom Line</a> portfolio and close daily involvement with the shipyard is a huge advantage to the yard itself, beyond the design phase alone. Working alongside the commercial department, the Atelier first looks to understand that market that the new series is targeting – for example Asia, Europe or America. This first step allows them to study the success of previous models in that region before moving forward with specific design choices and use that as a guideline for the potential features of the new concept.&nbsp;“When we start this process, before a yacht has been sold, we work to create an initial mood board for the vessel. This enables the sales department to collaborate with existing clients on new yacht concepts, and to refine a design with the Atelier before finalisation.&nbsp;This collaboration is deeply rooted in the shipyard’s success and the Atelier will even take clients to design shows such as those in Milan and Paris, to understand how trends are impacting the design choices of the future.&nbsp;Custom Line Navetta 38 and Custom Line 140'Two of the Atelier’s most recent projects have been the design and development of the Custom Line Navetta 38, and the brand's planing line flagship <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/112" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line (Company)">Custom Line</a> 140'. These two vessels represent the epitome of the Custom Line Atelier’s capabilities.&nbsp;“We are currently working very closely alongside <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5082" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (Company)">ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel</a> for the design of the Custom Line Navetta 38. The Atelier is the very best link between the shipyard and the studio, because we are able to disseminate information from the various subcontractors, with whom we have very close relationships, to the studio. Initially serving as an assistant to the sales director, I concentrated on the company’s operations in Viareggio, the hub for constructing large yachts in the Italian maritime industry. Unexpectedly, my commitment to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a> has endured, driven by the perfect synergy and structure within the company.What are some of your significant moments and achievements during your time with&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a>?After 27 years with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a>, there have been numerous significant moments and achievements. A challenging period which tested our resilience was during the initial stages of the pandemic lockdown. As clients reached out to cancel contracts due to uncertainties surrounding the pandemic and the ensuing economic crisis, we faced a critical decision-making juncture.In response to the crisis, Dr. Vitelli proposed a restructuring plan, suggesting that I take on the role of CEO for the entire company. At the time, I was solely with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a>, and in 2020, I officially assumed the role of CEO for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a>, a position that had not previously existed, as both <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> had their separate CEOs. Despite the initial uncertainties, this decision proved to be transformative. In 2023 our turnover has grown to an impressive €1.2 billion from 700 million when I took over.&nbsp;Can you sustain this kind of growth?I was among the few at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/121" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cannes Yachting Festival - 2022">Cannes Yachting Festival</a> back in 2022 to anticipate an impending slowdown. Despite external challenges, I believe <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a> is well-positioned to sustain steady growth. Our current fiscal season runs from September 2023 to August 2024, and we are optimistic about achieving a growth rate of at least 10 percent during this period.As we find ourselves in the Middle East, could you share your earliest recollection or first significant memory of this region?My first memory dates back to 1997 in Dubai. Back then, the landscape was incomparable to the vibrant metropolis we see today, it was mostly desert and people talked about having a vision to build skyscrapers and marinas. The transformation has been remarkable. It was around this time that we delivered the first 30.48-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> Jumbo in Dubai, marking a significant milestone. Additionally, I participated in the International Boat Show.&nbsp;How important is the Gulf region for the&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a>?The Gulf region holds immense importance for the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a>. It has played a crucial role with its significance growing even more for our future endeavours. We have consistently developed markets for both the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> brands across the Arabian Gulf, maintaining a steadfast presence year after year. We have a strategic presence in Kuwait and successful sales in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, we recognise the importance of the Egypt area, particularly concerning the Red Sea. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti group</a> still plans on continuing investing in the region as approximately 20 percent of our substantial backlog, which is among the best in the market, originates from this thriving area. Following the Saudi Arabian Public Investment group's acquisition of a 33% stake in April 2023, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a> emphasised the potential for long-term strategic business opportunities, particularly in the Middle East. Could you elaborate on the specific opportunities this investment presents for the group in the region?With the Saudi Arabian Public Investment group acquiring a 33 percent stake in April 2023, we've welcomed them as professional and committed shareholders, qualities essential in our industry. As a private, non-listed company, we've had various funds express interest over the years. The Vitelli family, discerning in their choice, found PIF to be the ideal partner for several reasons, including their proven track record in preserving the companies they invest in and their strategic location in this vital region.Furthermore, I can affirm that significant developments are currently underway in the region, they are actively taking place. Reflecting on past experiences, I predicted Dubai's growth before 2000, and as anticipated, it unfolded over time. This foresight extends to the Gulf Region, and we are confident that similar positive developments will occur.There many discussions centred on emerging propulsion systems, cutting-edge technologies, and sustainability initiatives aimed at enhancing our environmental efficiency. Undoubtedly, your company is actively involved in these advancements. Looking ahead, where do you envision your position in the industry five years from now? Can we anticipate the introduction of net-zero emission boats from your company?I'd like to emphasise the need for concrete action and offer some constructive criticism to our industry, specifically the manufacturers. The term 'sustainability' is often overused, and there is a danger of it becoming a mere buzzword. As someone once pointed out, when technology becomes boring, it becomes widely adopted. Currently, everyone talks about sustainability, pushing the responsibility forward without tangible actions. In reality, we must focus on concrete measures, avoiding 'greenwashing.'&nbsp;For instance, there are short-term solutions like biodiesel, with which we've partnered with Eni to provide HVO in Italy. Despite logistical challenges, we manage the distribution through our yard, supporting our clients. A year ago, we took the initiative to include emission levels in our range, based on consumption. We urged other manufacturers to join us, displaying this information on our yachts during shows. Regrettably, we remain the sole participant in this effort. However, this is not about self-decoration; our documentation is certified by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1452" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lloyd's Register (Company)">Lloyds</a> for international approval. I appreciate the opportunity to invite others to join this endeavour, as providing direct information to the final owner is crucial. Contrary to the belief that external pressure should drive change, we are taking proactive steps.&nbsp;We are also investing in hull shape and lighter materials, including cork, which is more sustainable. Instead of just using the term 'sustainable,' let's focus on tangible actions. Our industry needs to move beyond discussions and embrace facts and numbers. We are proud to share that we achieved a 20 percent reduction in consumption for our <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> range compared to previous models. These are not just promises but actual achievements, numbers that reflect our commitment to sustainability.Considering your order book which is the highest it has ever been, does the prospect of managing such a substantial workload concern you from a production standpoint?Not at all, we are efficiently managing our production workload. Our processes are becoming more streamlined, and the integration under the same company umbrella is proving advantageous. To illustrate, from the arrival of a 50-metre hull at the yards to the launch of the super yacht, the timeframe is now less than 11 months. This achievement is noteworthy, as it used to be the target for our 30-metre yachts a decade ago. Instead of expanding our yards, incurring additional costs and potential inefficiencies, we are focused on reducing lead times.How do you differentiate between the yachts built under the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> brands? Is the categorisation based on factors such as speed and displacement?The core business for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> revolves around displacement yachts, and we recently announced plans to introduce a 45-metre steel yacht due to the high demand for steel vessels. We are expanding our offerings beyond our existing B.Yond series, like the 37-metre, which will transition to a 40-metre version, and a 55-metre as well as the 45-metre Motopanfilo.&nbsp;Reflecting on past statements, I recall being asked about venturing into larger sizes during the launch of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/1081" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut 100 Jumbo30.48m (100'0&quot;)">Azimut</a> tri-deck. At that time, I firmly expressed that it would never happen. However, I can now say that we are working on an <a data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/1081" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut 100 Jumbo30.48m (100'0&quot;)">Azimut</a> 40-metres plus.What are your thoughts on the current pricing trends in the yacht industry? Have you encountered clients expressing concerns about the increasing costs?We've had clients express concerns about yacht prices throughout the year. Some who were accustomed to paying a certain amount found the increases challenging, leading a few to reconsider purchasing. The industry's push to expand its client base over the last few years has been a double-edged sword. It's positive for growth, but it presents challenges and threats.&nbsp;Expanding the clientele allowed for increased pricing due to a surge in demand. However, this was also influenced by factors such as material shortages, component delays, and speculations by some suppliers. While prices may seem exorbitant when compared to three or four years ago, it's essential to note that these increases aren't purely reflective of profit margins due to shifts in the supply chain.Interestingly, some newcomers to the yachting world may initially underestimate the ongoing costs, such as maintenance, management, and crew expenses. Over time, they realise the investment's full implications.&nbsp;Despite the challenges, a positive shift has been observed as people are spending more time onboard. This trend has become especially pronounced in recent years, transforming the yacht-buying experience into an emotional factor. We've witnessed clients who, over the years, started with a smaller yacht for occasional use and have now transitioned to larger vessels, spending more time with family onboard. This change in behaviour is significant and contributes to the industry's resilience. The emotional factor in the boat-buying process ensures a lasting connection with our clients, aligning with our group's strategy to maintain and grow within the family.

The final segment of the Gulf Superyacht Summit featured an interview conducted by Merijn de Waard with Marco Valle, the CEO of Azimut|Benetti Group.

In recent years we have seen a predominance of glass within the exterior design of superyachts. Beginning with the evolution of floor to ceiling windows in the main saloon, and now encompassing the very structure of yachts themselves, glass is one of the most prevalent materials used within superyacht exteriors. While this advent of glass comes with its challenges, one of the companies that has become an expert in its field is the Dutch production and engineering firm <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a>. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295446/image/large-9a86ad4b6e964aaf9a31f165de2d1f66.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295446">Responsible for the glass balustrades and railings on some of the most recognisable contemporary yachts, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> is grounded in the goal to up the standards of safety and durability for its products. We sat down with the team to find out more.From Steel to GlassOriginally specialising in stainless steel manufacturing, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> has been a household name in the maritime sector and was the first company in the Netherlands to carry out a complete package deal for stainless steel installations on a yacht. But why did the company transition into the glass sector in the first place?Prior to introducing the glass manufacturing process into its own facility, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> worked alongside a number of partners for the glass segments of their balustrades and railings, producing design files to be sent to the manufacturers. However, the team consistently found that the glass was below the expected standard in terms of durability and strength and that challenges associated with it often lead to delays in the finalisation of the project. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295447/image/large-8380285b7edf275d9fb050d8f5e0bd35.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295447">As a result, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> made the decision to bring the production of glass for its products in-house, and to introduce rigorous testing for the entire manufacturing process to ensure that its products were built to the highest standard possible.&nbsp;“Outsourcing glass can become a lengthy and protracted process, leading to increased lead times,” explains Teun Beekmans, Refit and After Sales Manager. “Now that the production process is in house, we are able to fast track production and deliver the product in as little as a few weeks if necessary. It also enables us to ensure the quality of the glass at every manufacturing stage, and because we have an intimate knowledge of how glass interacts with stainless steel, we are able to navigate any potential challenges before they arise.”&nbsp;To further expand its manufacturing abilities, five years ago, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> acquired a CNC and milling company, expanding its own facilities with a new laser cutting machine and putting the entire construction process under one roof. Based in Den Bosch, the facility now covers a 9,000 square-metre plot, with 3,000 square-metres dedicated to production, of which 1,000 square-metres is dedicated to glass and over 30 people in the team.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295445/image/large-2b06547991124abcf0ce64ada3588179.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295445">Testing the limitsAs one of the main motivators for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. (Company)">Beekmans</a> to introduce glass production in-house being the low quality of glass available in the sector, testing its products has always been at the forefront of the company’s mind. Superyachts are regularly put under strain, with heavy loads, rough seas and potential impact all adding to the possibility of glass balustrades breaking. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295448/image/large-9518bc7d031488654363c2eb36a92265.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295448">Over the years the company has introduced new standards of testing for its maritime grade glass and all of its glass meets the stringent standards of class approval. Today class societies are increasing the specification demands for glass railings, leading to challenges within the sector as companies fall below the standard of regulations, leading to unclassified areas onboard yachts. &nbsp;With their own engineering department, chemical toughening bath, cnc glass production equipment and test facility, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beekmans B.V. How glass testing is upping the game for superyacht balustrades

Since reestablishing the shipyard and opening its doors in June 2022, the team at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">Amsterdam Yacht Service (AYS)</a> has been bursting with refit projects. First opened in 1921, the shipyard in the Noordzee canal of Amsterdam’s NDSM port, is steeped in maritime history and the team are able to offer superyacht owners a unique combination of Dutch-pedigree expertise and innovative technology. This year the yard has turned its expertise to a number of complex projects, as well as expanding its facilities, and we took a closer look at a number of works recently completed at the yard. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/294924/image/large-13e5f8017a619407af231c62dc00b564.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/294924">An iconic 56m&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a>&nbsp;sailing yacht refitOne of the most ambitious refit projects so far undergone by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">Amsterdam Yacht Service</a>, the refit of an iconic 56-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a> sailing yacht is due to be completed in the coming weeks. Coordinated in close collaboration with the yacht’s experienced owner, the refit has demonstrated the breadth and depth of the A<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">YS</a>’ skill. The team also completed works to restore the yacht’s teak decks, as well as the sail winches and they repaired and refitted her windlass.Robert Binnekade, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">AYS</a> Director, commented; “As the owner informed us that he intends to sail the yacht extensively, we were keen to ensure that we brought her technically up to speed once again, ready for sailing regattas. As <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a> no longer exists as a yard, there was an extra challenge for us as a shipyard to ensure that all of the vessel’s technology was working perfectly: from her engines to her shaft alignment and onboard systems. This was a challenge which we rose to, and we are so proud of the results!”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/294923/image/large-9357b72f4efee779db06e63d78d489e8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/294923">Due to the length of the vessel the shipyard was required to demolish part of its shed and add a temporary extension, with the superyacht being transported in and out of the shed by means of a SPMT (Self Propelled Motor Trolly). Since the delivery of the yacht to her owner, the temporary extension has been removed, however new doors have been added in its place with a 12 metre opening, allowing for the accommodation of larger projects in the future. The shed has also benefited from a number of improvements, including an upgraded lighting system, a full repaint and a new fire suppression system.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/294921/image/large-48a7e895b6744142a02e3839fc565de6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/294921">Bespoke approach in the refit of 26m Arrabida&nbsp;The aluminium schooner Arrabida was successfully redelivered to her owner earlier this year following an extensive and highly bespoke refit. The yacht received a major paint job on her topsides which required the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">AYS</a> team to remove all the stainless steel fittings and the many water stays found on this kind of boat. They also implemented a comprehensive galvanic isolation programme to separate the electrical systems and avoid direct current flow. We designed and installed the bushings and plates to ensure the aluminium and stainless steel were kept well apart and avoid any oxidation in the future.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/294930/image/large-1449de4964377c9ba097dc832d5f8cee.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/294930">Other aspects of the refit included various repairs on the deck and the wooden cleats which had been subject to storm damage. One of the hydraulic power-packs was also replaced and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6695" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amsterdam Yacht Service (Company)">AYS</a> were tasked with a complete overhaul of her propeller and the related shaft, tunnel and variable pitch controls. Wear patterns on the tunnel showed that it was misaligned by some eight millimetres, an unusual find that meant the team had to cut out the original shaft tunnel and replace it with a new aluminium section. A new propeller shaft tunnel was then drilled, this time with the precise alignment required.Robert Binnekade explained, “As well as demanding the flexibility to adapt to complex changing requirements, this kind of challenge requires a great deal of knowledge and technical prowess. We successfully completed everything in-house leveraging on our yard’s experience not only with yachts but also with the demanding propeller installations required on the canal boats of Amsterdam. Arrabida’s refit is a fine example of the way the team works together to complex an advanced custom refit project, that was carefully aligned with the owner and which was completed with complete transparency in terms of costs.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/294922/image/large-e528bb315f032c15a97b84bc5ce226fa.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/294922">Other recent works&nbsp;Previously known as Commercial Break, the 28-metre Moonen motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4361" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Trooper27.43m (89'12&quot;)Moonen Yachts2003">Trooper</a> arrived in Amsterdam in November 2022 following her sale. Hauled out ahead of her inspection and undergoing an underwater paint repair, the yacht received a full hydro-jet of her new underwater hull, and a full paint job of her superstructure and top sides, restoring her back to her former glory. The 34.86-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/209" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pendennis Shipyard Ltd (Company)">Pendennis</a> motor yacht Project Fox is nearing completion. With her exterior almost complete, the focus has shifted to the yacht’s interior outfitting. From 2018 to 2021, the growth in deliveries was steady, albeit modest. This appears to align with the launch of an industrial plan recently published by Adsp (the Port Authority). Furthermore, existing activities that are retained, including workshops and services for Olt and Castalia, are expected to benefit from synergies that would increase overall profitability to over €17 million and employ around 90 individuals.

In February there will be a new Capital Markets Day to illustrate the next objectives.
