The biggest upcoming superyacht launches of 2024

<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/487" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yachtley (Company)">Yachtley Shipyard</a>’s floating dock in the Başiskele district of Kocaeli, Turkey, sank during a yacht retrieval manoeuvre. According to Haber Denizde, 24 personnel on duty were reportedly rescued and taken safely to shore following the incident.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/296356/image/large-16783ec2a88d0d8579efbec025c0631b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/296356">The floating dock houses a capacity of 4,500 tonnes, measuring 145-metres by 18-metres and is located at the Turkey-based shipyard. Each environment on board has its distinctive decoration, the red thread being the preciousness of materials and decorative elements.” <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/205" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cristiano Gatto Design (Company)">Gatto</a> goes on to say that “distinguishing motifs of the decoration are ordered repetition, radiating structures and rhythmic patterns but also architectural structures such as columns and niches. Nine more suites are situated on the main deck and feature timber floors, rich fabrics, hand-tufted carpets and adorned ceilings. 80m Yachtley Elements delivered to owner ahead of MYS

Built in almost complete silence at the Yachtley shipyard in Kocaeli, Turkey and launched under just as much secrecy in July this year is the 80-metre superyacht Elements. Here we get a first look inside Turkey’s largest yacht ever built, and the largest yacht of her kind in the world.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16321/image/large-de2703152ae6ffabdad9a51b50195a11.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16321">At 2950 GT, Yachtley and designer Alpha Marine didn’t hold anything back in terms of size and making sure that Elements is the biggest possible yacht that she could be (within the 3000 GT constraints). The sheer volume, therefore, made perfect sense to set up the interior according to SOLAS’s requirements to carry up to 24 guests. The ability to carry twice as many guests as other yachts in her size range makes Elements ideal for charter.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16320/image/large-3f129fb5d4d0036f4d69d9f514509b14.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16320">It was up to designer Cristiano Gatto to create Elements' interior spaces. An art-deco oriental theme was decided on which now fills the guest areas with shades of gold, ebony, ivory and sparkling precious stones. With both MTU engines running at full speed, Elements can cover a distance of 4,700 nm at 18.4 knots. Exclusive: inside the world’s biggest 80m superyacht 

Located in Koaceli Free Zone in Turkey, the Yachtley shipyard launched its greatest project to date this week ahead of her international unveiling in Monaco in September. The 80-metre Elements project is designed by Alpha Marine and features an interior by Cristiano Gatto.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/166248/image/large-1d5719933f15fa8979dd1832cfea370c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/166248" class="legacy">At 2,950 GT, Elements is one of the largest superyacht projects to have been completed in Turkey. The steel and aluminium constructed yacht is designed to house 24 guests in 12 staterooms along with a maximum crew of 29. Yachtley launches 80m Elements project

Gresham Yacht Design has announced an 87 metre new build. I talked with a spokesperson for the designer earlier this week, who confirmed the contract for the construction has been placed with Yachtley.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/150591/image/large-c2a98cabb708cfcfe14f3e8cd04129a0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150591" class="legacy">The owner provided a list of requirements for the yacht, with guest accommodation at the top of the list. The saloon will be full width amidships on the upper deck, and so the full beam of the yacht can be exploited and further expanded by the balconies port and starboard for exterior deck space. A 'Viewing Lounge' on the aft bridge deck is cantilevered and overhangs the side of the yacht with full height windows giving an uninterrupted panoramic sea views.The yacht has a single flowing line from the bow to aft deck, a design feature which holds the visual balance of the yacht together. She displays many original ideas incorporated into the design, including the combined Cone shaped Radar/TV Domes which Gresham calls the 'Scantenna Pods' to the balconies. In addition, the MES lifesaving system is also incorporated, which is unusual for a yacht this size and negates the need for external life rafts.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/150592/image/large-87e5e7f583aca7b06c68dd3c06afdb4e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150592" class="legacy">An enclosed mooring room forwards allows the helideck to be on the bow and enclosed mooring rooms aft allow the main aft deck to be free of bollards, capstans and mooring lines to give large clear deck spaces for the guests.Naval architecture will be undertaken by Alpha Marine, and the vessel will be built by the Yachtley Shipyard in Izmit, Turkey. She will have a maximum speed of 18 knots, and approximately 3000 GRT.
